ABOUT US

The Broadmayne Players are based in the village of Broadmayne, approximately 4 miles outside of Dorchester.

It is believed that the Players began in the early 70s putting on plays, pantos and talent shows.
Pantomimes put on in the 70s were written , produced and costumes made by a Veronica Long, the profits went to the Joseph Weld Hospice. She was one of the first patients in there in her 60s.

Throughout the years we have had members from the village and even people from the surrounding area join in to help out with the backstage or play parts in pantos and plays.

We would like feedback on if you would like to see more things from the Players in the future. If we can get enough people interested we would like to put on plays in the middle of the year and still have our Feb Pantomime in the half term week.

If you would like to get involved with the Players please do get in touch. We are a friendly and fun group of people who enjoy what we do and putting on performances which are full of fun.

If you have any more information about the past history of the Broadmayne Players we would love to hear from you. You can contact us via the 'contact' tab at the top of the page.
